If you have Aetna health coverage through The Arc of Washington County, or if you’re one of the first 50 employees who are not enrolled in Aetna to register, you can receive a FREE confidential biometric wellness screening at The 6th Annual The Arc WC’s Employee Spring Health Fair on Friday, May 11th.
Screenings are available by appointment only – reserve your spot by signing up at tinyurl.com/biometric2018.
Our deadline for providing a headcount to our screening vendor was 5 pm, Friday, April 27, however, available appointments are still up for grabs. If you want one of the open slots, go ahead and sign up!
Know your numbers by completing a simple fasting test with a fingerstick — no blood draw. Fasting means NO FOOD and NO BEVERAGES OTHER THAN WATER for 9-12 hours prior to your appointment time. Don’t worry, we will have fresh fruit and water for you to enjoy afterward. Please make sure to take all your medications as prescribed by your health care provider. If you forget to fast, you can still be tested, just be sure to tell the person conducting your screening.
During your personal biometric wellness screening, you will:
- Find out your health indicators
- Identify potential health risks
- Receive a brochure with your personal results
- Speak with an onsite counselor about your results

When you participate, you’ll get a chance to win a gift basket with a $100 gift card to DICK’s Sporting Goods, PLUS a $50 wellness incentive from Colonial Life for those who are enrolled in the Critical Care or Hospitalization plans AND, if you’re enrolled in The Arc WC’s sponsored health insurance, you’ll complete the third quarter incentive worth $50 towards your Health Savings Account (HSA).
Your health is important to all of us here at The Arc WC. So to ensure that everyone has time to complete a biometric wellness screenings, hourly staff will be provided with up to 30 minutes of paid time to do just that.
